Episode 52

JD Hardwick is a full time Mixed Martial Artist and a good friend of Mike and Tony. He is a fierce striker, but has a quickly developing ground game as well. He recently trained at Team Quest in Thailand under Coach Dylan Fussell and won the WITC 6 Lightweight Tournament in Bangkok, Thailand. JD has won his last 3 fights in the states and will be looking to turn pro in the summer of 2016. He has one more scheduled fight as an amateur on April 23, 2016 at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland Colorado. Always an honor to have him on the show! Enjoy the podcast.

Episode 51

Jeff began studying the guitar at a young age of 13 years old. His sister said you have to take lessons from a guitarist who is going to be famous. This guitar virtiuoso was "Randy Rhoades" (former guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne"). Jeff continued to study music at the Musician's Institute in Hollywood and received a degree in music at Cal State Long Beach. " Playing the guitar is a major part of my life, since my Dad loved playing and writing music on the piano". Jeff always finds a way to incorporate his music at work and at other functions. Jeff had the opportunity to play in many bands in California.  The styles ranged from pop, rock, funk, jazz, reggae, ska, salsa, and Mambo. Jeff played in bands that won the battle of the bands at Universal Studios. He performed on the tonight show and Telemundo. Jeff is a songwriter and He has been working on various projects with songwriters worldwide, and He continues to go after his passion of writing music for tv & film.

Episode 50 - 1 Year Anniversary!

Episode 50 is all finished up! What a great damn celebration we had to mark the passing of one year and 50 episodes of A-Chording to Mike and Tony!!! ATMT's very first guest, Jose Francisco Espinoza joined us in front of a live studio audience and shot the shit with Mike and Tony. We covered body-building and a whole lot more!

Episode 49

David “Fresh” Freshman is a musician, songwriter, performer, producer and engineer. Fresh started playing the violin in 1964, moved to the guitar in 1968 and has been creating and performing music ever since. He was born and raised in the ripe southern California music scene of the 1970’s and 80’s, performing at legendary venues such as the Whiskey a Go Go and sharing the stage with bands like Foghat. Tony and Fresh’s relation began in 2004 when they met at music bar in Aurora. The two started a band called Pilot Theory, performing live and recording for a number of years. Fresh and Tony remain close friends to this day and you can hear it in Episode 7.

Rockin’ Raven of "Raven on the Rock" radio show is a Colorado supporter and promoter of local musicians, bands and other Colorado music industry professionals. Raven's heart and passion for the local music scene has brought awareness and positive connection for many music artists, both young and mature. She features musicians live on her radio show, giving them the spotlight to talk about their passion and dedication to their music artistry. She is  determined to keep music in school by supporting The Mile High Scenesters, helping local musicians get their amazing music heard around the world and rewarding local musicians around the world with The Rock Awards which will be determined by their fans.

SSG Lacy McDonald is currently a part of the 75th Pacific Training Division out of the Federal Center in Lakewood Colorado, Logistics Manager for Royal Guard Security as well as creator of a nonprofit organization called 1mil United. Lacy is a highly decorated Soldier being awarded the Bronze Star, meritorious service medal, combat action badge, army accommodation medal with valor, and nominated Soldier of the year in 2014 by the Chamber of Commerce of Aurora. Lacy has an extensive background mentoring and guiding the youth while being the assistant teen director at the Boys and Girls Club in Park hill. It is Lacy's goal to provide wisdom and leadership skills for the youth today to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Dom Empey is a Singer-Songwriter from Aurora, Colorado. He began writing poetry when he was ten years old. That later developed into writing lyrics when he was eighteen. He was inspired to do so when he heard The White Stripes White Blood Cells. His music is a mixture between Indie Rock and Neo-Soul. Dom got his name from a former teacher who would playfully call him son. He sang and wrote songs for his two previous bands Down Goes Frazier and The empeys. And hopes to break out with this new project Dom Empey. With help from various musicians the Broken Poet ep hopes to catch fire. And he hopes to steamroll any progress into even bigger success when he drops his first album. In five years he sees himself touring the U.S.A. and maybe even the world. Dom would like to thank his management Black Pearl Entertainment, Inc. and Dionna Harding for taking a chance on him.

Daelena is sharp, articulate and educated. She holds a degree in Journalism and Spanish, with a minor in Ethnic Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

JD recently trained at Team Quest in Thailand under Coach Dylan Fussell. Hardwick was also the winner of the Champion title at WITC 6 Lightweight Tournament in Bangkok, Thailand. With a 3-1 amateur record and looking to turn professional by the end of the year, JD aspires to be world champion!

QuakeCon is a yearly convention held by ZeniMax Media to celebrate and promote the major franchises of id Software and other studios owned by ZeniMax. It includes a large, paid, bring-your-own-computer (BYOC) computer gaming event with a competitive tournament held every year in Dallas, Texas, USA. The event, which is named after id Software's game Quake, sees thousands of gamers from all over the world attend every year to celebrate the company's gaming dynasty. The event is highly dependent on volunteers to cover many aspects of the organization of the event. QuakeCon has historically had a reputation as the "Woodstock of gaming", and a week of "peace, love, and rockets!"
